Marsha Nouritza Odabashian is the new president of the Women’s Caucus for Art, Boston. Ronni Komarow and CJ Lori are the new Co-chairs of Exhibitions for the Women’s Caucus for Art Boston.

 

Brenda van der Beek‘s work is featured in “Divergent Thinking” at Fountain Street Fine ArtExhibition dates are January 5, 2017 – January 29, 2017. There is an artist’s reception on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 5-7PM.

 

Carolyn Letvin will be having a show of her sheep paintings and monotypes on the gallery walls at the Brookline Senior Center titled “Sheep Specific.” It will run from Wednesday, January 4 through Thursday, March 30, 2017. There will be an artist reception on Thursday, January 19, from 4-6 pm. Also, she will be doing two-day workshops on plein air monotypes for oil painters at Hopkinton Center for the Arts on March 4 and 5, and at Concord Art on March 11 and 12. Galatea member Ronni Komarow has again organized the annual exhibition of artist’s books and book, related art, “Beyond the Book.” This is the 10th anniversary year and is an exceptional show with work by several members of the gallery including Dianne Dolan, Yvonne Lamothe, Carolyn Letvin and X Bonnie Woods (and Ronni Komarow). The exhibition is on view through January 28, 2017 at both Brighton & Faneuil Branches, Boston Public Library.There will be an artists’ talk at the Brighton Branch Library on January 19th from 6-7:30pm; and at the Fanueuil Branch Library there will be a talk on January 24th from 6-7:30pm.

 

Lisa Reindorf will be a speaker at the 24th Annual Environmental Symposium on the role of artists confronting climate change at the University of Guelph in Canada on January 20th.

 

C. J. Lori is exhibiting in “PLENTY, 9th Annual Holiday Exhibition” at 13 Forest Gallery, 167 Mass. Ave. in Arlington through January 14. The gallery will host a holiday party on Thursday, December 14 from 6-9 pm.

 

Ethan Hamby won The Regina Brown Undergraduate Fellowship from the National Council on the Education of Ceramics to fund the development of my project, “Crackpots: An Eccentric Uncle’s Conspiratorial Dinner Party”.

 

Justin Freed‘s video “The Waters of Life:A Refuge” can be seen on the Marquee at the Boston Convention Center for the next few months. It is hosted by Boston Cyberarts and the convention center.

 

Carol Wontkowski is included in the Warwick Center for the Arts’ “Nature’s Gifts” exhibition, which runs until January 13, 2017. Carol is also showing at the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative’s “Max 12”, which runs until January 3, 2017. In addition, the Pickford Arts Association, Wickford Village, RI has their Little Picture Show running until Dec. 24. The Coastal Living Gallery, Pickford Village, RI has their Holiday Exhibit runs until January 24th.And also, Artists for Save the Bay, Save the By Center, Providence, RI which runs until Jan. 31, 2017.

 

Carol Wontkowski and Christina Beecher are participating in th Next Door Gallery’s, “Winter Exhibit” in Mansfield, MA. The exhibition runs until February 10, 2017.

Christina Beecher and Carol Wontkowski will be participating in the Attleboro Arts Museum Arts Museum’s Members’ Exhibition through February 2nd.

 

Marjorie Kaye, Diane Newton, Marsha Nouritza Odabashian, Lisa Reindorf, and Hope Ricciardi are all participating in “Shelter”, a collaborative effort between Violence Transformed and the National Association of Women Artists. Hope Ricciardi is also one of the jurors. The exhibition takes place at the Harlem School of the Arts until January 3, 2017.

Marjorie Kaye has a solo exhibition of sculpture entitled “Sequence” at Colo Colo Gallery in New Bedford, MA. The exhibition runs until December 20, 2016.

 

Stephanie Angelo is part of “boXed”, a group exhibition at the Nave Gallery in Somerville, MA. The show runs through December 18th, 2016.
Stephanie is also participating in “Gathering” at the Bunker Hill Community College’s Mary L. Fifield Gallery in Boston until December 31st, 2016.

 

Jane Paradise is exhibiting at the Small Works group member show at Provincetown Art Association Museum through January 8th, 2017.

 

C. J. Lori is included in the exhibition “Out of Order” at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, MA, until December 18th.

 

Diane Newton is included in the “2016 Fall Juried Members Exhibition” at the Whistler House Museum of Art in Lowell, MA. The show runs until January 21st, 2017.

 

C.J. Lori is participating in an exhibition presented by “Art in Giving”, which raises funds for childhood cancer research through the sale of fine art. The venue is located at 360 Longwood Avenue in Boston and the exhibition will run until January 10th, 2017.
